A Personal Ceremony With a Professional Process

Ever After Vows is based in Pottstown, so Montgomery County is not an outer edge of the service area—it is home. I work with couples planning everything from quick marriage-license signings and intimate elopements to full wedding ceremonies shaped around their story.

Some couples know exactly what they want when they reach out. Others only know that they do not want a ceremony that feels generic, stiff, or disconnected from who they are. Either way, I provide clear guidance, thoughtful preparation, and a calm presence from our first conversation through the moment you are pronounced married.

Your ceremony should feel personal. The process should feel easy.

GETTING MARRIED IN MONTGOMERY COUNTY

A Few Things to Know Before the Ceremony

Montgomery County handles marriage-license applications through the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans’ Court. The current county process begins online and is normally finalized during a Webex conference. The county recommends applying at least two weeks before the ceremony.

01

Apply Online and Complete the County Process

Both applicants complete the online application and normally finalize it during a Webex video conference. Montgomery County says applicants may join from different locations, and walk-ins are also accepted.

02

Allow for the Three-Day Wait

The marriage license is not valid until three days after the Webex conference or qualifying in-person appointment. Once issued, it remains valid for 60 days.

03

Use It Anywhere in Pennsylvania

A Montgomery County marriage license may be used for a ceremony anywhere in Pennsylvania. Likewise, a Pennsylvania license issued by another county may be used for a ceremony in Montgomery County.

04

Complete and Return the Paperwork

For a standard officiant-led marriage, I review and complete the marriage certificate and return the required document to the issuing county after the ceremony. Pennsylvania requires the duplicate certificate to be returned within 10 days.
