From the moment we spoke on the phone to the day of our ceremony he was so kind and genuine. We LOVED that he had included a questionnaire that allowed us to tell him more about ourselves which he weaved into our ceremony as if he knew us for years! In fact everyone at our wedding thought that we knew France! Everyone said how awesome, friendly, family-type of person that France was. France helped make the wedding of our dreams a reality. He worked closely with us to make sure he delivered a ceremony that matched exactly to our vision, but also left some space for novelty too. His "Reflection on Love" was particularly moving and told the key points of our story in a way we'd never heard. He insisted that we not read this part of the script prior to the ceremony - which we were slightly skeptical about since we wanted to control so much of the day - but France truly delivered and we were so happy that we could let go and have France say everything we couldn't get to in our vows alone. What’s the difference between a license signing and a full ceremony?

A license signing makes your marriage legal with brief declarations and signatures; we file the license. A full ceremony is guest-facing with a custom script, optional readings or rituals, and a polished 15–25 minute flow.

Who files the marriage license?

We do. After the signing or ceremony, we complete and return the license to the issuing office.

Do we need witnesses?

Pennsylvania: No witnesses are required for a standard license.
New Jersey: Two witnesses (18+) must sign at the ceremony.

How long is everything?

License signing: about 10–15 minutes on site. Custom ceremony: usually 15–25 minutes depending on readings and rituals.

What kind of ceremony styles can you do?

Faith-based, interfaith, or secular. We can include cultural traditions, unity rituals, and readings. Ceremonies are conducted in English only.

Where can we do a license signing or elopement?

Parks, cafés, backyards, small venues, or a recommended spot—subject to any venue or park rules.

How far in advance should we book?

As early as you can once you have a date—availability and pricing depend on date, time, and location.

How long is a New Jersey marriage license valid, and where do we apply?

New Jersey licenses are valid 30 days. Apply in your municipality of residence (or the ceremony town if both partners are non-residents). There’s a 72-hour waiting period and one witness is needed at the application.

How long is a Pennsylvania marriage license valid, and where do we apply?

Pennsylvania licenses are valid for 60 days. Apply at the Orphans’ Court/Marriage License Bureau in any PA county. There’s a 3-day waiting period from application to issuance (rush waivers may be available). No witnesses are required for a standard license; bring government ID and any divorce paperwork.
